Work Environment and Professional Development
This is a remote contracting opportunity that uses the applicant’s professional experience to complete project deliverables and communicate with the project team. The source does not establish a local office job in the country of this publication; eligibility follows the individual role.
Compensation, Benefits and Work Terms
Extracted compensation: 80–120 per hour (currency not specified in extracted pay field). Referral rewards are not applicant salary or benefits.
Compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow.
Minimum submission requirements apply.
Contract Type and Work Schedule
Engagement type: Contractor (~15 hours per week). Remote status does not imply that applicants may live in every country.
We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Expert to contribute to an AI training project involving engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, technical problem-solving, and Python.
The work involves creating, solving, reviewing, and validating engineering tasks across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains. A representative task may require translating physical requirements into a computational model, generating the required geometry or mesh, applying materials and boundary conditions, running an engineering simulation, and determining whether the resulting artifact and analysis satisfy the applicable physical and design constraints.
This is a very coding heavy role. Candidates must have experience using coding agents in their workflow.
What You’ll Work On
Solve and validate mechanical-engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D.
Translate physical systems and engineering requirements into analytical or computational models.
Create or modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.
Perform structural, thermal, dynamic, fatigue, buckling, vibration, or related analyses.
Use Python to automate model preparation, simulation, parameter sweeps, optimization, postprocessing, and verification.
We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts who are ready to begin immediately. If selected, you will be expected to start your first task within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
Location Eligibility and Mobility
Global, fully remote
A preferred region is not necessarily mandatory, but US Only and similar wording restrict eligibility.
