Role Overview
The Finance Manager role leads core financial activity in a manufacturing environment, with particular emphasis on product costing, cost variances, accounts receivable, collections, VAT compliance and timely reporting. The position requires strong ownership of controls and audit-ready records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage product or unit costs for each production line.
- Monitor production variances, material usage, waste and productivity, and flag cost overruns.
- Establish cost-control standards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production and operations on inventory valuation and cost of goods manufactured.
- Manage the full accounts-receivable cycle, including invoicing, ageing, follow-up and collections.
- Reduce days sales outstanding through systematic follow-up and credit controls.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment disputes.
- Issue weekly and monthly overdue-balance and collection-risk reports.
- Ensure sound financial procedures across purchasing, payments, payroll, petty cash and inventory.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CMA, ACCA or CPA is preferred.
- At least five years of advanced finance or accounting experience.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred.
- Practical experience in product and manufacturing costing.
- Experience managing accounts receivable and customer collections.
- Knowledge of Oman VAT regulations and VAT return filing.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books or ERP systems.
- Attention to detail and accountability.
- Arabic and English proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CMA, ACCA or CPA is preferred.
- At least five years of advanced finance or accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or an industrial environment; practical experience in product costing, manufacturing costing, accounts receivable and customer collections.
