Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete audit planning.
- Complete fieldwork and allocate work appropriately to audit assistants.
- Coach audit assistants.
- Prepare financial statements, transmittal letters and other deliverables.
- Keep the manager and partner informed of progress and issues throughout the audit.
- Ensure partner and manager reviews are completed.
- Complete documentation and follow up outstanding information.
- Prepare and analyze work-in-progress costs for assigned audits.
- Prepare fee-note requisitions on time and follow up debtor collection.
- Maintain good relationships with the client's financial management.
- Act as overall in-charge for medium and large clients.
- Attend stock counts and follow up the counts.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc. in Accounting or equivalent.
- Accounting qualification or equivalent such as ACCA or CPA.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and ISA.
- Three years of experience, including a minimum of two years post-qualification.
- Prior experience with clients in real estate, construction and related industries and oil & gas sectors.
- Hands-on experience in advanced audit methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, customer focus and the ability to mentor new team members.
- The source language matrix lists both English and Arabic as fluent across speaking, reading, writing and listening.
- Proactive and independent working style, research ability, efficient analysis, problem solving and effective communication.
